Wheeled Bin Recycling
Storm Recycling offer a wide range of plastic recycling services across the UK, including a Wheeled Bin Recycling service for end of life Wheelie Bins from local authorities, councils and waste management companies. Wheeled bins (also known as Wheelie Bins or Wheely Bins) are made from HDPE and are perfect for recycling.
Do You Collect Wheeled Bins for Recycling?
We will collect your unwanted wheely bins – ranging in size from the smallest household bins to the 1100 litre commercial waste bins.
You do not need to pre-treat the wheeled bins by washing them but we do insist that they are empty. Any costs for disposal of waste will have to be passed on. It is not necessary to remove the wheels from 1100 litre bins as they will stack with them still on. But wheels and axles will need to be removed from smaller wheeled bins to make sure they are stackable.
Ideally 1100 litre bins should be stacked 3-4 high and 240 litre bins 9 high, to maximise the load weight collected. A full load is approximately 100 x 1100 litre bins or 600 x 240 litre bins
Do You Have Minimum Collection Quantities?
Yes! It does vary according to product type but realistically the minimum collection quantity is around 3 tonnes (3,000 Kgs).
It may be possible to collect smaller quantities than 3 tonnes but this may incur a charge.
